**During an unofficial visit for the Iowa State game, West Virginia extended an offer to 2023 3-star defensive end Will Smith from Dublin Coffman High School in Dublin, Ohio. Smith also holds offers from Duke, Illinois, Marshall and Miami, Ohio.

**West Virginia football extends an offer to 2022 3-star defensive Curlee Thomas IV from Nolan Catholic High School in Fort Worth, Texas. This is interesting because Thomas (6’4″, 240) is currently committed to California. Thomas holds 45+ plus offers including ones from Arkansas, Baylor, Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Iowa State, Louisville, Michigan State, Minnesota, Mississippi State, Missouri, Oklahoma State, Penn State, UCLA, Virginia and Virginia Tech.
