Welcome to WVSN Daily Notebook. This post will be updated with news throughout the day, so be sure to check back often to stay on top of everything that’s going on with WVU sports and West Virginia high school football.

UPDATE – 4:14 p.m.

For the first time in program history, WVU volleyball is ranked in the AVCA rankings. The rankings have been shortened to 15 teams instead of the usual 25 and the Mountaineers check in this week right at No. 15.

UPDATE – 7 a.m.

Former Mountaineer football great Tavon Austin appears to be done with the San Francisco 49ers:

Because Austin was placed on injured reserve earlier this season, he was not eligible to play in 2020 unless he reached an injury settlement. What yesterday’s move by the 49ers does is it allows Austin to become a free agent and sign with a team of his choosing.
