WVU has offered 2022 outside linebacker Joshua Josephs from North Cobb High School in Georgia. Josephs (6-foot-3, 207 lbs.) is currently unrated by 247Sports and has offers from Georgia Tech, Memphis, North Carolina, Ole Miss, Pitt and Virginia Tech.

High school football returns to Kanawha County this week, and with it a new standout in recruiting circles with a familiar last name gets his first chance to show what he can do in 2020.

South Charleston sophomore defensive end/running back Mari Lawton, the younger brother of SC senior star Zeiqui Lawton, has received a handful of Division I scholarship offers in recent weeks — Coastal Carolina, Cincinnati, Arkansas State and Toledo so far. Older brother Zeiqui is considered one of the top Class of 2021 players in West Virginia, and younger brother Mari could very well be in that same conversation for the Class of 2023.
