WVU Basketball in Running for 2025 3-Star Guard
WVU basketball is in the running for 2025 three-star shooting guard Jaylon Dean-Vines, who released his top five schools on Wednesday night.
Dean-Vines, a 6-foot-3 recruit, is also considering Louisville, Texas A&M, UCF and Vanderbilt.

Dean-Vines is getting ready to play for the Diamond Doves of the Overtime Elite league. Dean-Vines is from Dallas, Texas and played at Kimball High School.
Dean-Vines was offered by WVU associate head coach Chester Frazier back in April.
West Virginia is also in the running for 2025 four-star center Eric Reibe. Reibe is a 7-footer from Maryland and has the Mountaineers in his top 11 list.
“With [Chester Frazier], how he talks to me, it’s more than just coaching. He is also interested in me as a person, not just a player. We talk about all kinds of stuff about my real life, not just on the court. He’s a coach, he’s a friend, he’s just all in one,” Reibe said to WVSN.
Under DeVries, West Virginia recruited two scholarship players in the class of 2024 with guards Jonathan Powell and KJ Tenner. The Mountaineer staff is moving on to the 2025 class with no current commitments.
