WVU basketball is in the running for 2025 three-star guard Lino Mark as he released his top eight schools on Monday afternoon. Along with the Mountaineers, Mark is considering Loyola Marymount, Rutgers, Seton Hall, TCU, UCSB, USC and Utah.

Mark tells WV Sports Now that he’s working with West Virginia’s coaching staff to finalize a visit. As of this story being published, the target date for the visit is Sept. 21-23. Mark, 6-foot-2, currently plays at Notre Dame High School in California.

Mark visited Loyola Marymount for an official visit last weekend and has visits scheduled for Seton Hall (Sept. 9-11) and TCU (Oct. 3-5), per ZagsBlog.

WVU’s staff extended an offer to Mark on Aug. 16.

“Extremely blessed to receive an offer from West Virginia University,” Mark wrote.

Mark is a three-star prospect according to 247 Sports and has received offers from Arizona State, Cal State Northridge, Pepperdine, Portland, SMU, TCU, UC Santa Barbara, Utah, Washington State, West Virginia and others.

West Virginia just completed visits for 2025 prospects Kelvin Odih (4-star G) and Omari Witherspoon (3-star G). Odih discussed his visit with WVSN, which includes his conversations with WVU HC Darian DeVries and former Mountaineer guard Deuce McBride.
