West Virginia has made a late addition to the roster for the 2018 football season. Eastern Arizona College receiver Isaiah Esdale has joined the team.

The Mountaineers will blue-shirt Esdale, meaning that he is eligible to practice this season, but his scholarship won’t count toward the 2018 limit. He has three years to play three seasons.

As a junior college player, Esdale caught ten balls and led the team with 319 yards. Esdale also played defensive back and returned two interceptions for touchdowns. Because of how infrequently the Eastern Arizona passed the ball last season, there are still some unknowns about Esdale’s game.

In high school, Esdale played at Eastern Christian Academy. Other ECA products include David Sills V, Wendell Smallwood, Dakiel Shorts, and the Brown brothers.
