BREAKING: Mountaineers Land Mathis

Published

on

Tony Mathis from Cedartown, GA has closed his recruitment today after committing to West Virginia University.

“I’ve been a fan of them since I was a kid,” Mathis told me. “I love the program. I love the facilities and the weight room a lot. I think I will fit well because of the way I run the ball.”

The five-foot-eleven, 195-pound running back has limitless potential. He runs a 4.49 40-yard dash, has superb vision and can cut on a dime.

Mathis chose the Mountaineers over 19 other offers, including Louisville, Purdue, Wake Fores and Iowa State.

The three-star recruit is the 50th-ranked running back in the country in the class of 2019, and was recruited by Doug Belk and Marquel Blackwell.

He runs hard and with a purpose, so look for Mathis to make a big impact in these coming years.
