WVU Football Among Lucky 7 in Mix for 2024 4-Star Recruit Willy Love
West Virginia remains as one of the lucky programs still in the running for four-star recruit Willy Love. The New Jersey native included the WVU football program as one of his Lucky Seven by tweeting a graphic on Wednesday.
Love (6-foot-2, 200 pounds) is a class of 2024 safety with another season of high school football remaining at Eastside High School in Camden, New Jersey. Along with WVU, he’s still considering Maryland, Penn State, Pitt, Rutgers, Syracuse and Texas A&M.
Blessed and grateful for every coach that have extended scholarship offers to me which is always a blessing to come but with that being said I will be focusing on these Seven lucky Schools….Where’s home? @Beastupacademy @NextLevelQBs @RivalsFriedman @247Sports pic.twitter.com/gX02sEcqKo

Love is ranked as a four-star prospect by both ESPN and Rivals while only being regarded as a three-star player by On3.com and 247 Sports. Regardless, he’s classified as one of the top 10 recruits out of New Jersey by each outlet.
At this point, Rutgers is the only place that Love (6-foot-4, 210-pounds) has made an official visit to so they have to be viewed as the most likely destination for him. Syracuse and Penn State are two other schools that Love has made multiple unofficial visits to over the past year. WVU sent Love an offer in January, but he has yet to visit Morgantown.
Willy Love is on record as saying that he’d like to take all five official visits, but it remains to be seen if that happens.
