Instead of traveling south to Morgantown, four-star linebacker Cam Lindsey will stay in the Pittsburgh area and play college football for Pitt. After much anticipation, the class of 2024 Aliquippa product announced he’s committing to Pitt.

Lindsey made his announcement, one that he promoted earlier in the week, at the BlackBox theater inside Aliquippa High School. He’s regarded as one of top overall recruits in the state of Pennsylvania.

Listed as 6-foot-2 and 190 pounds by 247 Sports, Lindsey has himself as 6’2 and 203 pounds in his Twitter bio. 247 also ranks Lindsey as the 23rd best linebacker in the country in his class and 10th best player.

In the month of June, Lindsey took official visits to both West Virginia and Pit, but over the last year, has also made a handful of unofficial visits to Penn State and this spring, made a visit to Cincinnati.

Despite not winning the regional battle for Lindsey, the Mountaineers have secured several other commits in the past two weeks, including four-star players.
