WVU Football Battling Big Brands for Versatile 2027 DL
Knowing the importance of having a strong defensive line, the WVU football program is recruiting a versatile 2027 prospect out of Mississippi.
Sam LeJeune (6-foot-4, 280 pounds) added West Virginia as his 11th Division I offer this week. WVU defensive line coach William Green is LeJeune’s lead recruiter.

Ranked as a top 10 player in his state, LeJeune, who attends Poplarville High School, is listed as a top 20 defensive lineman in the 2027 class. He even has experience on the offensive line as well.
Major Power Four brands like Arkansas, Florida State, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Notre Dame and Ole Miss have also shown an interest in LeJeune. He has offers on the table from Oregon State, Memphis, Southern Miss and UTSA as well.
