WVU Football Brings In 2024 3-Star Edge Rusher

WVU Football DE Commit Elijah Kinsler yells about Backyard Brawl

The WVU football program brings in another edge rusher for their 2024 class in three-star Edge Elijah Kinsler.

He officially signed on as part of Wednesday’s National Signing Day.

The New Jersey native and Bergen Catholic product visited West Virginia on several occasions since committing in June. WVU head coach Neal Brown and defensive line coach Andrew Jackson paid Kinsler a visit on Dec. 8 to ensure keeping him as part of their 2024 class.

Listed at 6-foot-4, 250 pounds, Kinsler can be classified as a highly sought after defensive end recruit. He had 10 total offers on the table before picking WVU, including several from prominent schools.

In addition to the Mountaineers, Akron, Boston College, Connecticut, Liberty, Louisville, Miami (FL) Pitt, Purdue, Syracuse and Toledo all offered Kinsler. Cincinnati and Rutgers in his home state also showed interest, but never extended an offer to the class of 2024 recruit.
