WVU Football Coach Visits 2026 4-Star Georgia CB Commit

Is it possible a new WVU football coach could help the Mountaineers flip a top Georgia commit? Well, that’s what cornerbacks coach Rod West is attempting to accomplish. West was even putting his plan in place on Tuesday when he visited 2026 four-star corner Jontavius Wyman at school.
Wyman even posted about West stopping by Jonesboro High School on social media. “It was great spending time with Coach (Rod) West!!,” said Wyman.

Despite committing to Georgia back in July, coaches from around the country and across the Power Four conferences still been trying to win over Wyman. In addition to meeting with West, coaches from Florida State and South Carolina have also spent time with Wyman.
And of course, Georgia made sure to visit him recently as well, clearly showing their continued interest in keeping him as part of their 2026 class. Wyman attend several Georgia games during the 2024 regular season.
Louisville and Nebraska have sent offers to Wyman since the turn of the new year in January.
Wyman, a consensus four-star prospect, lists himself at 6-foot-1, but most national recruiting outlets have him closer to 5-foot-11. He says he’s 170 pounds, but Rivals has him at 175 while On3 Sports has him at only 160.
He’s ranked within the top 20 Georgia players in his class by every main outlet. Wyman also has experience on the offensive side of the ball, but is universally regarded as a college cornerback.
