From Wyoming to West Virginia, defensive end Braden Siders committed to join the WVU football program on Saturday night.

Siders (6-foot-3, 252-pounds) will become a Mountaineer after four years with the Cowboys. He was previously committed to Arizona.

After a redshirt year and three seasons on the field, Siders appeared in 33 games and started 26.

Siders recorded 21 tackles, five tackles for a loss and three sacks in only eight games. Siders’ best season came in 2022 when he posted 44 tackles, 13.5 tackles for a loss and seven sacks.

Siders entered the transfer portal on Dec. 6 and received offers from UAB, Louisiana-Monroe, Tulsa, James Madison and Bowling Green.

Siders, who has one year left of eligibility, is WVU’s first defensive lineman commit to West Virginia from the transfer portal.
