WVU Football Informs 2027 4-Star TE of Serious Interest
For another recent offer to a tight end, the WVU football staff extended an official opportunity to a 2027 prospect out of Virginia.
A product of Benedictine High School in Richmond, Va., Sam Faniel, listed at 6-foot-6 and 220 pounds, publicized his West Virginia offer on social media on March 31.
Faniel’s offer came during a call from WVU tight ends coach Michael Nysewander.
Mostly ranked as a three-star recruit by national outlets, Faniel has been awarded four stars via 247 Sports’ Composite Rankings. He also offers from a myriad of schools like Alabama, Arizona State, Auburn, California, Colorado, Duke, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan State, North Carolina State, Nebraska, Northwestern, Penn State, Pitt, Purdue, Rutgers, Texas A&M, UCF, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin as well as several Group of 5 programs.
As a junior, Faniel caught 26 passes for 347 yards and seven touchdowns.
