WVU Football Lands DB Transfer Anthony Wilson

WVU football has landed a transfer commitment from defensive back Anthony Wilson. Wilson comes from Georgia Southern, where he played at for four seasons.

“I’m comin,” Wilson wrote on Twitter.

Wilson (5-foot-10) entered the transfer portal three weeks ago after an honorable mention on the All-Sun Belt Team. Wilson received offers from Charlotte, Louisville, West Virginia and others during his short time in the portal. Wilson recorded 101 total tackles, 60 solo. The Columbia, SC., native has two interceptions during his career, one in 2020 and another this past season. Wilson was named to the All-Sun Belt Third Team in 2021.

Wilson has one year of eligibility remaining.

West Virginia picked up their second transfer of the week with Abilene Christian DL Tyrin Bradley choosing WVU earlier in the week. Bradley posted 47 total tackles with 19 of them recorded as solo. Bradley has two more years of eligibility.
