WVU Football LB commit Caleb Gordon

Even in the midst of signing a big class, the WVU football program did lose one commit.

Three-star linebacker Caleb Gordon decided to flip to stay home and play for North Carolina State on Early National Signing Day Wednesday. Gordon had just committed to WVU one week prior.

A product of Ashbrook High School in Gastonia, N.C., Gordon (6-foot and 217 pounds) is considered a three-star prospect in the 2026 class.

Gordon was previously committed to Arkansas, but withdrew his commitment and re-opened his recruitment in September after their coaching change.
