WVU Football CB recruit Jeremiah Favorite

The WVU football staff showed one of the top cornerbacks in his state that he’s among their favorites. Jeremiah Favorite, a 2026 recruit out of Boiling Springs, S.C., revealed West Virginia sent him an official offer on Tuesday.

WVU cornerbacks coach Rod West called Favorite to inform about the offer. “After a great conversation with coach Rod West I’m blessed to receive an offer from West Virginia University,” said Favorite on social media.

“Coach stopped by my high school to talk. I was well aware of coach (Rod) West as he was at App. State while we kept in touch. Coach told me that he loved my Junior film and think I would be a great fit for the program there are building. Heโ€™d love to get me on a visit as I’d love to be back up there as I visited them vs Iowa State,” said Favorite about his talk with West.

Listed at about 5-foot-10 and 170 pounds, Favorite, who still has one more season of high school football left at Boiling Springs High School, is ranked as a there-star prospect by 247 Sports and considered a top 15 player in South Carolina and a top 70 cornerback in the country.

Despite still trying to gain more recognition from national recruiting outlets, Favorite does have some notable college offers already on the table. Appalachian State, Boston College and Charlotte all offered Favorite after West Virginia.

He also has offers from Coastal Carolina, East Carolina, Indiana, Liberty, Old Dominion, Vanderbilt and Virginia Tech. Clemson has even shown interest.
