West Virginia has opened as a big favorite for Saturday’s game against Kansas at Milan Puskar Stadium in Morgantown.

The Mountaineers, who were off last week, return to Big 12 play this week against the Jayhawks as 23-point favorites with an over/under at 51 points according to William Hill Sportsbook.

WVU was a three-point underdog going into its win two weeks ago against Baylor, and the over/under of 55 points went under despite the Mountaineers and Bears going to double overtime. West Virginia’s season-opening win against Eastern Kentucky went over the established 59-point line as WVU covered as 41.5-point favorite against the Colonels. In the Mountaineers’ only outright loss of the season, WVU did not cover an eight-point spread at Oklahoma State and the total went under the closing number of 50.5 points.
