The West Virginia University football team opened as a seven-point underdog on the road at Texas this week, according to the William Hill Sportsbook.

The Mountaineers (4-2, 3-2 Big 12) are coming off a 37-10 upset of then-No. 16 Kansas State on Saturday in Morgantown, but the Longhorns (4-2, 3-2 Big 12) are also riding high following their upset win in overtime at previously unbeaten Oklahoma State.

The over/under for Saturday’s game at Darrel K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium opened at 58 points.

WVU is 3-3 against the spread this season with four of the Mountaineers’ six games going ‘over’ — including the last three — so far in 2020. West Virginia went 6-6 against the spread last season with nine ‘unders’ in 12 games.
