WVU Football Sends Offer to 2025 4-Star WR Recruit Waden Charles

The WVU football program is already showing interest in class of 2025 wide receiver recruit Waden Charles.
This interest transitioned into the current high school sophomore tweeting that he received an official offer on Thursday. Charles, who stands at 6-foot-3 and weighs 185 pounds, attends Somerset Canyons Academy in Boynton Beach, Florida.

National recruiting outlets are often hesitant to award star rankings to players with their sophomore season as they’re most recent, but Charles has been firmly placed as at least a three-star recruit.
He’s classified as a three-star by both On3 and Rivals while 247 Sports is going as far as to call Charles a four-star. 247 places Charles as the number 29 prospect in all of Florida and also the 29th best overall class of 2025 wide receiver in the country.
Charles’ statistics do back up his hype, putting up 53 receptions for 1,067 yards and scoring 9 touchdowns in 2022.

All of this means the Mountaineers will have plenty of competition in their hopes of eventually securing a commitment from Charles. West Virginia wide receivers coach Bilal Marshall’s connection to Florida recruits could play a role in favor of WVU.
So far in his recruitment, big time schools like Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Miami and Texas A&M have all offered Charles.
