As the search for depth for the secondary continues, the WVU football program sent another offer to a defensive back looking to advance up the FBS level.

The Mountaineers extended an offer to Villanova transfer Devon Marshall on Monday afternoon. Listed at 6-foot, 200 pounds, the Boston, Massachusetts native completed his first full season in 2023. He made 47 total tackles with 3.5 tackles for a loss.

Before taking a big jump this past season, Marshall previously recorded 13 tackles in nine games in 2022. The landscape appears to be suggesting Marshall is ready to experience major conference football.

In addition to West Virginia, Marshall has also received offers from Boston College, Cincinnati, Indiana and Pitt in just the first few hours since announcing his plans to transfer. Marshall has two more years left of eligibility.

You can find Marshall and other transfer players listed on our partner the Portal Report’s database.
