WVU Football QB recruit Ryan Rakowski

With their eyes on the future as well as the current roster, the WVU football staff let a 2027 quarterback know of their interest.

California product Ryan Rakowski received an offer from West Virginia on Wednesday, March 11, announcing his opportunity to move out east on social media. He’s being recruited directly by WVU quarterback coach Rhett Rodriguez.

A three-star prospect out of Palos Verdes High School in Palos Verdes Peninsula, Calif., Rakowski added WVU to his growing list of Power Four offers.

With offers to Arizona, Arkansas, Auburn, Baylor, Ole Miss, Purdue, SMU and Utah, Rakowski is ranked as among the 100 California players and top 65 nationally in his class.

He also has offers from Cal Poly, Central Michigan, Nevada, Northern Iowa, Sacramento State, Toledo, UNLV and USF.
