WVU Football Books 2027 3-Star LB for OV Before Rivals

As the WVU football staff continues to schedules recruits for official visits, they booked 2027 linebacker Rick Brown.

Listed at 6-foot-1 and 235 pounds, Brown hails from Harrisburg, Pa. and is considered a three-star prospect by most national recruiting services. He revealed his upcoming WVU visit is set for June 5-7.

Initially offered by West Virginia in August of 2025, Brown also has offers from several other Power Four schools who often recruit against the Mountaineers. He has offers on the table from Boston College, Minnesota, Pitt, Syracuse and Virginia Tech as well as JMU, Temple and UConn below the major conference level.

247 Sports ranks Brown as their No. 21 Pennsylvania player for the 2027 class and the No. 57 linebacker in the country.
