WVU Football Lands Commitment From 2027 WR Roscoe Hayes

The WVU football program landed a commitment from a wide receiver in the 2027 class on Friday.

Georgia native Roscoe Hayes announced his decision on social media, picking West Virginia over offers from Cincinnati, Illinois, Kansas State, North Carolina State, Pitt, Wisconsin and several others.

“Take Me Home. Trip to visit Morgantown was fantastic. Thankful and blessed to be continuing my academic and football career with WVU football,” posted Hayes.

Listed at 6-foot-1 and 181 pounds, Hayes is a product of Westlake High School in Atlanta. His commitment comes a week after he returned from taking a trip to West Virginia. He also plays basketball in high school.

WVU wide receivers coach Ryan Garrett recruited Hayes directly. Hayes now becomes the Mountaineers’ second commit for their 2027 class.
