Anticipation is building for the 2025 WVU Football season, their first under Grant Town, W. Va. native and Mountaineers alumnus Rich Rodriguez since 2007, when he led them within reach of a BCS National Championship game appearance.

The Mountaineers stated in a Friday, June 6 press release that tickets on the home sideline of the lower level of Milan Puskar Stadium have sold out, as have season tickets in the Green Zone (sections 131, 132, 134 and 97 in the south end zone).

After WVU Football stagnated toward the tail end of the Neal Brown regime, Rodriguez’ return has caused a buzz around the program once again. The full press release, which one can read here, describes which seating areas still have season tickets available as well as any pertinent fees: season plans begin at $380 for the Mountaineers’ six game home schedule.

Highlighted games include a Saturday, Sept. 13 home date against the rival Pittsburgh Panthers, the last of a four game, four year scheduling block: fans need to purchase a season ticket plan in order to guarantee a spot for that Backyard Brawl game. The Mountaineers will play their season opener on Saturday, Aug. 30 against Robert Morris, while a Saturday, Sept. 27 matchup with Utah will serve as their Big 12 home opener.
