WVU Football’s Noah Guzman Transfers to Familiar Staff
MORGANTOWN, W.Va.: In February 2021, WVU safety Noah Guzman elected to put his name into the transfer portal.
After spending his true freshman season in 2018 at Cerritos College, a community college in Norwalk, Ca., he travelled across the country to Morgantown. His sophomore season in 2019 saw 219 plays and totaled 24 tackles, a pass break-up, and a fumble recovery.
After entering the portal back in February and initially committing to Northern Arizona, he reneged his decision to play for the Lumberjacks. Now, he’s once more on the move. This time, it’s into the arms of a familiar coaching staff.
Judging by the location of his announcement tweet, he’s already made himself at home within Houston head coach Dana Holgorsen’s defense.

He leaves behind fellow Mountaineer CAT safeties redshirt senior Sean Mahone and redshirt sophomore Kerry “KJ” Martin Jr, but he’ll meet back up with former Mountaineer linebacker JoVanni Stewart, who played four seasons with the Mountaineers.
