West Virginia running back Tony Mathis will miss the TCU game on Saturday, head coach Neal Brown announced during his weekly press conference.

Mathis left the Texas Tech game early on this past Saturday.

Mathis is currently in his fourth season at West Virginia, taking a bigger role this year at the running back position. Mathis has recorded 492 rushing yards and five touchdowns in seven games so far. The Florida native won Co-Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week two weeks ago when he ran for 163 yards and two touchdowns against Baylor on Oct. 13.

Brown also noted that OL James Gmiter, LB Lance Dixon and CB Rashad Ajayi will also miss the upcoming game against TCU. The Horned Frogs will come into Morgantown ranked No. 7 in the country with a flawless 7-0 record. WVU and TCU will kickoff at noon on Saturday at Milan Puskar Stadium for Homecoming weekend.
