WVU Target Running Back Ramon Brown Commits to Virginia Tech
4-star running back Ramon Brown chose to stay in the state of Virginia, choosing Virginia Tech over West Virginia, Penn State, South Carolina and Maryland during his CBSSports commitment ceremony Friday afternoon.
Brown (5-foot-11, 202 pounds) from Manchester High School in Midlothian, Virginia named WVU as a finalist for his signature on the Fourth of July, but in the end, the Mountaineers were unable to secure his signature over in-state Virginia Tech.
#Hokies pick up a 2022 commitment from Midlothian RB Ramon Brown. He had South Carolina, Maryland, West Virginia and Penn State as his other finalists. He's VT's first consensus four-star recruit in the class. He's the No. 190 player nationally and the No. 19 RB. A big pickup.

Despite missing out on Brown, the 190th-ranked recruit (19th-ranked running back) in the class according to 247Sports, WVU has already picked up a commitment from 4-star running back Justin Williams.
The Mountaineers will have another chance to pick up 2022 talent Saturday when 3-star athlete Christion Stokes will announce his commitment at 5:30 PM. Stokes is projected by 247Sports and Rivals to wind up with WVU.
