2024 3-Star LB Reveals Commitment to West Virginia

A linebacker recruit announced he’s committing to the WVU football program late Monday night. Rickey Williams, a class of 2024 product out of Archbishop Hovan High School in Akron, Ohio, is regarded as a three-star player by most outlets.
Williams (6-foot-2, 230 pounds) committed to West Virginia after taking his official visit on June 9th. He initially received an offer in January.

During the 2022 season, Williams recorded 134 tackles, 26 tackles for loss and 10 sacks on a team that reoriented Ohio in the state championship game.
Williams picked the Mountaineers over offers from Akron, Buffalo, JMU, Miami (OH), Ohio and Toledo. Cincinnati, Kentucky and Purdue also showed interest but never sent an actual offer.
