West Virginia or Virginia Tech? That’s what it appears to be coming down to for Anthony Robsock.

After spending time visiting programs across the country, Robsock posted a tweet that lends itself to feel he might be asking himself one question as part of his decision making process. The class of 2024 offense lineman recruit captioned the tweet, “WVU and VT! two great programs, two great traditions. Which one?”

Of course, this prompted fans from both rival programs to plead their case to the Central Dauphin High School product from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. His question about Mountaineers or Hokies also came right after he tweeted a message of thanks to the West Virginia program for his recent visit. It was actually his second trip to Morgantown of the month.

Listed 6-foot-6 and 280 pounds, Robsock is a versatile lineman with experience at both guard and tackle. He’s received offers from the likes of Bucknell, Dartmouth, Fordham, William and Mary and Air Force while also earning attention from Power Five schools Syracuse, Maryland and Virginia Tech.

Robsock has been in talks with WVU offensive line coach Matt Moore, even going as far as to publicize that communication.

The Mountaineers are always on the hunt for versatile offensive lineman, and Robsock fit well into their plan of trying to create a line where everyone can be slotted in multiple positions.

It’s possible Robsock could still commit to one of his other offers or end up elsewhere since he still has his senior season ahead of him, but his cryptic tweet obviously means WVU is on his short list to say the least.

And if he needs a tie breaker, all he has to do is look to the recent series between West Virginia and Virginia Tech. The Mountaineers are keepers of the Black Diamond Trophy, winning each game in the rebirth of the rivalry in 2021 and 2022.
