2025 3-Star Ohio OL Earns WVU Football Offer After ‘Amazing’ Visit
With an eye on the offensive line of the future, the WVU football staff hosted Phillip Bowser for an official visit over the weekend. Bowser even announced receiving an offer from the Mountaineers after wrapping up his trip on Sunday.
“After an amazing visit and conversation with Rich Rodriguez, I am honored to receive my 23rd D1 offer from West Virginia University,” said Bowser.

Bowser’s offer coming directly after a conversation with Rodriguez instead of offensive line coach Jack Bicknell signals he’s a top priority recruit for the staff.
The 6-foot-5, 275-pound offensive tackle now adds WVU to his growing list of interested schools. He was even recently offered by fellow Big 12 program UCF on Jan. 24.
A product of Ursuline High School in Youngstown, Ohio, Bowser holds offers from Akron, Buffalo, Eastern Michigan, Kent State, Marshall and Ohio among others. He’s also visited major conference programs like Kentucky, Maryland and Pitt throughout the past year.
Ohio State even offered Bowser in early December, granting him an opportunity to join the reigning national champions, granted likely with a tougher path towards actually getting on the field.
Both Rivals and 247 Sports rank Bowser as a three-star recruit.
