Victor Scott II is willing to autograph just about anything for his fans. The St. Louis Cardinals center fielder who got called up to MLB in 2024 shared some of the strangest items fans have asked him to sign as part of a promotional video by the team on social media.

Scott picked out a pair of daisy ducks, a spatula and even a succulent as some of the weirdest things heโ€™s ever been asked to sign. He admitted he didnโ€™t even know what a succulent was – itโ€™s a plant – until one was presented to him by a fan.

The video takes a twist at the end, revealing that the odd requests came from members of the Cardinals’ social media team messing with him all along.

Scott is now hoping Cardinals fans keep liking him and wanting him to sign random household items as he prepares for another professional season, one with expectations of greater MLB success.

A two year starter for the Mountaineers, Scott slashed .254/.368/.419 with 11 homers and 68 stolen bases in parts of three seasons in Morgantown, making his mark as a speedy baserunner and capable outfielder.

St. Louis drafted Scott in the fifth round in 2022. He rose quickly through the Cardinalsโ€™ system, finishing near the top of the minor league standings with 94 stolen bases in 2023, his first and only full season as a member of the farm system. Although he finished the 2023 season in Double-A, Scott made the Cardinalsโ€™ big league roster out of spring training, but struggled mightily, picking up just five hitsโ€”three of them doublesโ€”in 20 games.

Scott hit .179 with a pair of home runs and five stolen bases in 53 games with the Cardinals.
