One of the first things player are asked to do when arriving at the Senior Bowl is to get their official measurements. Instead of just using their information listed by their college program, NFL scouts want an accurate account at that exact time.

Below is how WVU offensive line product Wyatt Milum checked in at the premiere NFL Draft event.

Position: OT

Height: 6-Foot-3

Weight: 315 pounds

Hand: 10 2/8

Arm: 32 5/8

Wing: 79 5/8

Milum is ready to prove himself in the NFL. And as he showcases himself to NFL teams, Milum offered some insight to his mindset at the Senior Bowl.

โ€œI want to prove that I can play anywhere on the offensive line. From guard to center and offensive tackle, I want to show the scouts that I can play them all. I also want to show everybody how physical I am, and how smart of a player I am. Iโ€™m excited to get after it down there,โ€ said Milum in an interview with Justin Melo of the Draft Network.

Milum also knows the Senior Bowl will provide him with a great opportunity to prove himself to those who matter.

โ€œThe Reeseโ€™s Senior Bowl has always been the top All-Star game to attend. It didnโ€™t require much motivation to accept the invite in all honesty. Iโ€™ll be competing against the best players in the country in my opinion. Iโ€™m really looking forward to attending the Senior Bowl,โ€ said Milum.

Wyatt Milum Explains What He Wants to Prove to NFL Scouts at Senior Bowl

And as far as what exactly heโ€™s hoping to prove, Milum wants to emphasize his versatility above anything else.

Versatility is something WVUโ€™s former offensive line coach Matt Moore always preached as being important, not just in case a player was needed in a role for a game, but for players like Milum to increase their value to NFL teams.

Knowing the importance of versatility, what type of offensive lineman does Milum actually think he is at the next level?

โ€œI would say Iโ€™m a very athletic offensive lineman. Iโ€™m really good at being physical and getting after dudes in the run game. I also feel like Iโ€™m very effective in pass protection. There are a few things Iโ€™m working to clean up as well. At the end of the day, I feel like Iโ€™m an athletic lineman with power,โ€ explained Milum when asked to describe himself as a player.

Milum added then added that heโ€™s most comfortable at offensive tackle.

โ€œWell, Iโ€™d say offensive tackle because thatโ€™s the only position Iโ€™ve consistently played since high school. I played tackle exclusively here at West Virginia. Iโ€™ve been working on playing guard throughout this pre-draft process though. I feel like I can play any position, but Iโ€™m especially comfortable at tackle. Thatโ€™s where Iโ€™m most experienced.โ€

It also sounds like Milum has a clear idea of what a successful trip to Mobile, Ala. for the Senior Bowl would look like. The Senior Bowl takes place on Feb. 1 and will air on NFL Network.

โ€œIt means I went down there to Mobile and competed every single play, every rep. It means I learned from my mistakes and got better as the week progressed forward. I have to show growth as a player,โ€ said Milum about what he would consider a successful Senior Bowl experience.

โ€œI want to improve in every area from the hands-on coaching weโ€™ll be receiving. Itโ€™s all about competing and learning. Iโ€™m going to try my best to execute all of my assignments and win my reps.โ€

Milum wrapped up his college career at the conclusion of the 2024 season as one of the highest graded offensive lineman in the country.

According to Pro Football Focus, Milum earned a 91.7 pass blocking grade and a 89.7 as a run blocker, the fourth-highest in the country. Milumโ€™s overall mark of 91.0 was the third best.

And for his work, Milum was honored as a consensus All-American.

Milum earned first-team honors on four of the five teams โ€” Walter Camp, AFCA, FWAA and Sporting News โ€” and was a second-team All-American on the fifth team, Associated Press.

Milum was also named the Big 12 Conference Offensive Lineman of the Year this season and was named first-team All-Big 12.

Hailing from Kenova, W.Va., Milum came to WVU from Spring Valley High School in 2021. He started 43 games over the next four years, eventually transitioning from right tackle to left tackle and developing into one of the top pass protectors in the nation.

Milum did not allow a sack in either 2023 or 2024 and has not allowed a sack in 34 of his last 36 games. In 2024, Milum did not allow a quarterback hurry and gave up only seven pressures.
