Woods, a native of Abingdon, Va., was initially committed to North Carolina, awarding another commitment flip to the WVU staff, this time picking the Mountaineers over an existing Power Four opportunity.
In addition to WVU and North Carolina, Woods also held notable offers from Coastal Carolina, Liberty, Syracuse and Wake Forest. Woods also has experience at tight end.
Woods becomes WVU’s 29th commit and fifth offensive lineman for the 2026 class.
