4-Star WVU Target Kelvin Odih Reflects on Recruitment

West Virginia hosted 2025 four-star guard Kelvin Odih last weekend. The Mountaineers are in the running for Odih, who included WVU in his top six schools.

Odih went into detail about his West Virginia visit with WV Sports Now, including coaching staff, campus atmosphere, conversations with Deuce McBride, etc.

After the visit, Odih reflected on his recruitment, stating that he’s not looking for anything specific from his final programs.

“Right now, I’m just trying to enjoy the experience. If I was still at 20-something schools [left], I would be able to tell you that,” he said. “But now that I have the six, I think that they all do a fair share of talking to me daily and all that type of stuff. It’s not really just what they do to stick out.”

Along with West Virginia, Odih is considering Colorado, Creighton, Louisville, Oklahoma State and Rutgers.

“I feel like it’s my experience that I get at the school. Everybody has that feeling of like, yeah, this is where I want to be,” Odih continued.

The SoCal Academy senior told WVSN that he’s visiting Creighton, Colorado and Rutgers over the next few weeks.

“I’m just looking forward to being there. Getting that feel, that experience,” Odih said.

Odih doesn’t have a timeline for his commitment but does mention that “it’ll be soon.”
