2025 three-star guard Jaylon Dean-Vines announced on Instagram that he’s committing to Vanderbilt. Dean-Vines completed his visit to Vanderbilt on Sunday.

Dean-Vines chose Vanderbilt over a final five list of Louisville, Texas A&M, UCF and West Virginia.

After his Vanderbilt visit, Dean-Vines was expected to take a trip to Washington next weekend, a source told WV Sports Now. A visit to West Virginia was not planned at the time.

Dean-Vines is getting ready to play for the Diamond Doves of the Overtime Elite league. Dean-Vines is from Dallas, Texas and played at Kimball High School.

Dean-Vines was offered by WVU associate head coach Chester Frazier back in April.

In recent news, West Virginia hosted 2025 four-star guard Kelvin Odih last weekend. Odih enjoyed his visit at WVU and has the Mountaineers in a top-six list.

“Everything was great. I really enjoyed my time over there. The coaching staff was very welcoming,” Odih said to WVSN.

Odih went into detail about his visit, including conversations with Darian DeVries and Deuce McBride.
