5-Star Prospect Trentyn Flowers Receives WVU Offer, Will Visit on Saturday

5-star G/F Trentyn Flowers received an offer from West Virginia on Wednesday afternoon. Flowers, a Winchester, Va. native is going to come to campus on Saturday for an unofficial visit, his AAU coach told Alex Karamanos of The Circuit.

Flowers is ranked No. 8 in the country by 247 Sports and the No. 1 prospect from Virginia.

Flowers (6-foot-8, 180 pounds) is a member of the class of 2024 and is entering his junior year at Rosedale Christian Academy in Maryland. Flowers attended Sierra Canyon (CA) and Huntington Prep (WV) during his first two years of high school. At Huntington Prep, Flowers averaged 18.9 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game. Flowers shot 46 percent from the field his sophomore year.

Many schools around the country are in pursuit of Flowers. Flowers has received offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Cincinnati, Florida, Georgetown, Georgia, Georgia State, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Iona, Kansas, Kansas State, LSU, Maryland, Memphis, Michigan, Missouri, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, UNLV, USC and Xavier. Flowers has picked up interest from Duke, North Carolina and UCLA as well.

This weekend is huge for WVU men’s basketball recruiting as the team is hosting top 2025 prospect Alier Maluk and 2024 C Matthew Gilhool along with Flowers.
