A Pair of Talented 2022 Recruits Will Be In Morgantown on Thursday

Fresh off the committments of 4-star Arizona quarterback Nicco Marchiol and 3-star Georgia safety Mumu Bin-Wahad, West Virginia will host a couple of 2022 recruits on official visits in Morgantown Thursday.

Take a look at who will be visiting the Mountaineers.

Q’yaeir Price

Q’yaeir Price is a 2022 3-star strongside defensive end from DePaul Catholic High School in Wayne, New Jersey.

Price (6-foot-2, 255 pounds) has picked up offers from Akron, Army, Boston College, Buffalo, Connecticut, Howard, Indiana, Kansas, Kent State, Liberty, Maryland, Massachusetts, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Rutgers, Syracuse, Temple and William & Mary.

Price had an unofficial visit with his home-state school Rutgers, and WVU is his first official visit.

As a defensive lineman for the Spartans, Price racked up 41 tackles, a team-leading 15.5 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks, along with a forced fumble and recovery, in just six games.

According to Rivals, Price is the 35th-ranked strongside defensive end in the class and the 11th-ranked recruit in the state of New Jersey.

Demond Claiborne

Demond Claiborne is a 2022 3-star running back from King William High School in King William, Virginia.

Claiborne (5-foot-10, 180 pounds) has offers from Appalachian State, Central Michigan, Charlotte, Coastal Carolina, James Madison, Kent State, Massachusetts, Purdue, Richmond, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.

Claiborne has already visited Virginia and Vanderbilt this June, and he will end the month at WVU.

A versatile offensive weapon for the Cavaliers, Claiborne is a running back, wide receiver and kick returner. He is also a Virginia 100 meter dash state champion in track & field.

According to 247Sports, Claiborne is the 29th-ranked running back in the class and the 12th-ranked recruit in the state of Virginia.
