Both WVU Basketball Teams Ball Out at Woodburn for Second Year
Both WVU basketball teams introduced themselves to students and fans on Thursday night at the annual Ballin’ at Woodburn event. The unique showcase was highlighted by player introductions and players on both teams taking part in contests.
The night tipped off with the shooting showcase – two teams made up of one men’s player, one women’s player and a fan had to make a layup, three-pointer and a half-court shot. Sophomore guard Maddie Parrish made three half-court shots to win the championship along side sophomore forward Aliou Dioum.
After that, sophomore guard MJ Feanane won the night’s game of knockout.
The three-point contest capped off the night in style, as sophomore guard Alexis Bordas faced off against junior guard Joson Sanon for the title. Sanon won with a blistering 20 three-pointers made while Bordas tallied just 11.
