BREAKING: Wide Receiver Marcus Simms to transfer

Published

on

After much speculation, it was announced today that West Virginia wide receiver Marcus Simms will be transferring out of the program.

Yesterday, Simms tweeted this which certainly cleared some things up.

Simms has been dealing with an injury issue and missed the majority of spring activities including missing the spring game.

A few weeks ago, head coach Neal Brown told the media that Simms was absent for “personal reasons”, but it  is unknown if  he was out due to an injury or whatever else the case may be.

Simms would have been the leading returning receiver and looked at as the primary target for the offense this fall. In his career at WVU, he totaled 87 receptions for 1,457 yards and 8 touchdowns.
