The Cleveland Browns are taking a chance on a former WVU receiver. The Browns announced the signing of Winston Wright Jr. as an undrafted free agent on Friday.

Wright, who spent three years at WVU, capped off his college career with East Carolina after enduring an injury plagued 2023 with Florida State.

The Browns say Wright will wear No. 38 with the Browns.

Overall in 2024, Wright caught 54 balls for 556 yards and scored eight touchdowns.

Following the 2021 season and a successful three-year tenure at WVU, Wright decided to leave the Mountaineers for Florida State. Unfortunately, Wright suffered a serious injury before the 2022 season and did not take the field for the Seminoles until the 2023 season.
