West Virginia women’s basketball has added another graduate transfer this week, this time center Yemiyah Morris from Mississippi State.

“I am so excited that Yemiyah has decided to join our program,” WVU coach Mike Carey said in a statement. “She brings a presence in the paint that will be extremely beneficial for us. She has great hands and her athleticism will shine in our style of play.”

Morris, a California native, began her college career at Cochise Community College in Arizona before joining the Bulldogs’ program for her junior and senior seasons. She averaged 3.3 points and 2.5 rebounds per game in her two seasons with MSU.

In 2020-21, Morris averaged 3.2 points and 2.6 rebounds in 19 games. She also finished second on the team in blocks with 15. She won a silver medal playing for USA Team at the World University Games in the summer of 2019.

WVU announced earlier this week that A’riana Gray, a grad transfer from Xavier, will also be joining the Mountaineers for next season.
