A redshirt senior set to begin his sixth year in college, Carson Lee began his career with stints at Colorado and Eastern Michigan. After breaking into the Eagles starting lineup in 2024, playing at both guard and center, the 6-foot-2, 327 pound lineman committed to Mississippi State out of the transfer portal this offseason.
His Bulldogs tenure didn’t last long, as Lee returned to the portal following the spring practice period, the route that eventually brought him to Morgantown.
West Virginia lost all five of last year’s starters on the o-line to graduation and the transfer portal, so Lee should step into a starting role even with an abbreviated camp tryout.

Stats: 21 games with the Eagles over the past two seasons, including 16 starts.
Camp outlook: Lee initially committed to Mississippi State this offseason, but reentered the transfer portal following the spring practice period. As a redshirt senior in his final year of eligibility, Lee almost certainly committed to WVU Football in search of a starting job.
Projected role: Lee’s ability to line up anywhere on the interior offensive line will help him lock down some sort of starting job.
Accolades, highlights: Lee earned All-State (Colorado) honors as a junior in high school while playing tackle, another testament to his versatility.
