Decision Day Set for West Virginia 4-Star Target Jaden Mangham

The West Virginia football’s Top 20 recruiting class has three 4-star recruits in it and there’s a good chance that will be increasing.

Michigan 4-star athlete Jaden Mangham has announced his list of finalists and the date in which he plans on announcing his college decision.

Mangham (6-foot-3, 185 pounds) plans on making his college commitment on August 1st and will be choosing between West Virginia, Illinois, Nebraska, Michigan, Michigan State and Georgia Tech. This was a difficult decision for Mangham to cut his list down to just six schools considering he has received close to forty scholarship offers including from programs like Alabama, Baylor, Florida, Florida State, Miami, Notre Dame, Oregon, Penn State, Pitt and Virginia Tech.

Despite excelling at both the safety and wide receiver positions, West Virginia is hoping to add Mangham to their secondary.

Of his finalists, Mangham made his official visits to West Virginia, Georgia Tech, Illinois and Nebraska, with his first one being to Neal Brown’s program during the first week of June.

“West Virginia has always been truthful with me and my family. That really means a lot. Since day one, they’ve always been truthful and honest in their communication and have always told us the truth. Because of all that good stuff, it was very helpful in making the decision for them to get one of my official visits. It was really easy to pick West Virginia for a visit.”

Mountaineers safeties coach Dontae Wright has been the chief recruiter for Mangham and actually has known and been recruiting him since his eighth-grade year.

All signs point towards West Virginia having a very good chance to add Mangham to their Class of 2022.
