Exact Dates for When College Basketball, Football Transfer Portals Close This Week

As a reminder, the college basketball and football transfer portals close this week.

Now, the portal closing does not put any timeline on when players can commit to new schools. However, the portal closing marks the end of the time period that the NCAA will allow undergraduate transfers to leave their school and go to a new school without having to sit out next year.

*Note: Graduate transfers and players whose coaches leave/get fired can enter the portal after the portal closes.ย

COLLEGE FOOTBALL PORTAL SPRING WINDOW FINAL DAY: FRIDAY, APRIL 25

More than 2,100 players have entered the menโ€™s basketball division one NCAA portal. On the womenโ€™s basketball side, there have been more than 1,400 players that have entered the portal at the Division I level.

In football, more than 3,500 DI players entered the portal in either the fall or the spring window. This recent spring window is only open for a total of ten days for football.

The basketball portals will have been open for 30 days upon closing.
