Louisville linebacker Dorian Etheridge, a Charleston native and former Capital High standout, has announced he will skip his final season of eligibility with the Cardinals to declare for the 2021 NFL Draft.

Etheridge, a captain at Louisville this season, finished the 2020 season with 50 total tackles in 11 games to go with 2.5 sacks and one forced fumble.

As a high school star in the Mountain State, Etheridge helped lead Capital to the Class AAA state championship as a sophomore and then back to the title game again when he was a junior. Etheridge was a three-time West Virginia Sportswriters Association all-state pick and chose Louisville over West Virginia, Virginia Tech, Maryland, Pitt, Purdue and Marshall.
