The Seattle Seahawks entered the 2022 NFL season with a lot of questions surrounding the quarterback position following the trade of Russell Wilson.

While it’s still very early, Geno Smith has performed better than anyone has expected and brought a ton of productivity as the new leader of the Seahawks offense.

Following his performance against the Detroit Lions, Smith has been named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week. Smith completed 23-of-30 passes for 320 yards and two touchdowns. He also added 49 rushing yards on 7 carries.

Geno Smith Achieves NFL History for Efficiency

Back in 2013, Smith was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week when he was with the New York Jets.

Through 4 games, the former West Virginia great is 102-of-132 for 1,037 yards, six touchdowns and 2 interceptions. Smith leads the NFL with a 77.1 completion percentage.

This Sunday, the Seahawks (2-2) travel to New Orleans to take on the Saints (1-3).
