It’s Decision Day for 2022 Four-Star LB Wesley Bissainthe

When 2022 four-star linebacker Wesley Bissainthe narrowed his extensive recruiting chase to just five teams in September, West Virginia made the cut. His decision day is within sight now.

Bissainthe, a 6-foot-1, 200-pound linebacker from Miami Central High School in Miami, Florida, is the biggest recruit left on WVU’s 2022 recruiting big board, so his commitment would be a huge boost to a class that could use a late spark.

Bissainthe’s decision will come Saturday, Dec. 4 at 5 p.m. on CBSSports, and he’ll choose from WVU, Florida State, Miami, Penn State and Florida.

With visits to all five schools in his Top 5, spending time in Morgantown on June 4, Bissainthe has thoroughly scouted all of his finalists. However, 247Sports is split between Miami and Florida State for his decision, and Rivals also projects him to land with Miami.

247Sports rates Bissainthe as the 188th-ranked recruit in the class, checking in as the 15th-ranked linebacker and 23rd-ranked recruit from Florida. Rivals rates him as the 23rd-ranked linebacker and the 43rd-ranked recruit from Florida.

Coming off a successful season with Miami Central, racking up 36 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, three sacks, two forced fumbles and a recovery and two interceptions, Bissainthe is a versatile linebacker capable of playing all across the football field.

WVU’s 2022 class has picked up commits already from fellow Florida four-star linebacker Travious Lathan, three-star hybrid linebacker/safety Raleigh Collins III and JUCO transfer linebacker Lee Kpogba.
