On Saturday afternoon, 2022 LB Travious Lathan committed to West Virginia to play football during his collegiate career.

Lathan announced his decision at 3 p.m. on his Twitter account.

Lathan—who is 6-foot-2, 202 pounds—told WV Sports Now that he was making a decision between West Virginia and Pitt. The future Mountaineer was predicted by 247Sports analysis to commit to WVU.

The Miami, Florida native, was also recruited by Arizona State, Florida, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Oregon, Penn State and others. Lathan only visited West Virginia and Pitt, visiting Morgantown on June 11.

As Lathan commits, Neal Brown and the coaching staff have built a top 20 recruiting class for 2022. Prior to Lathan’s commit, the Mountaineers are at No. 22 in the country, while No. 3 in the Big 12.
