Mountaineers in the Pros
McBride Shines in NBA G-League Debut, Drops 25 Points
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – On Wednesday night, former WVU guard Miles McBride made his NBA G-League debut for the Westchester Knicks, performing great in his first game.
McBride finished the night with 25 points, nine assists, five rebounds and two steals. In the 41 minutes that the former Mountaineer played, McBride shot 10-of-24 in the win over the Long Island Nets.
The New York Knicks assigned McBride to the Westchester G-League team on Wednesday morning, making him immediately eligible for the game later that day. McBride has appeared in five games for the Knicks.
This will be good for McBride to get some game experience and receive big minutes before heading back to the big leagues.
One of McBride’s new teammates is former Texas forward Jericho Sims, who played for the Longhorns from 2018-21.
Miles McBride is a different breed! He went crazy in his G League debut with the @wcknicks. 👏
